William and Rose Ann Prey founded the Prey Funeral Home in Oglesby in 1949.  William passed away on July 25, 2002.  Rose Ann then began a collaboration with the Mueller family who now own and operate the funeral home.  The Mueller Funeral Homes are a three-generation funeral firm, founded in 1950 by the late A. Charles Mueller Sr. and his wife, Jean.  The Mueller family now operates five funeral locations in Peru, Ottawa, LaSalle, Oglesby and Lostant along with an on-site crematory and monument company.  The second generation to serve include Arthur "Art" Mueller and the late A. Charles "Chuck" Mueller Jr.  Gregory Mueller, Art's son, now serves as President of the firm.  Rose Ann Prey and her daughter, Frances "Fran" (Dennis) Morrison also remain active in the funeral business.  Both the Prey and Mueller families are honored to be active in and serve the community.
